EMILY is a certified B Corp!

We don’t mean to brag but EMILY becoming B Corporation certified is a pretty big deal. As a B Corp we are super excited to be part of a global movement, balancing purpose and profit. This certification is proof of our ongoing commitment to use business as a force of good.

There are more than 4,000 Certified B Corporations in over 150 industries and 70 countries with 1 unifying goal – to redefine success in business…and now EMILY is one of them, go us!

In true EMILY style, we have put 100% effort into becoming a B Corp and it’s an achievement not to be underestimated. B Lab, the non-profit that certifies and supports B Corporations, has conducted a rigorous evaluation of every part of our business, which took nearly 2 years to complete! They assessed the impact on our employees, suppliers, community, and the environment to make sure that we meet the high standards needed to qualify.

Supporting the incredible work of our charity partnerships such as Women’s Earth Alliance, and encouraging everyone who works for EMILY to take part in regular health & wellness activities are just some contributing factors to achieving the certification. Not to mention many others, for example over 50% of EMILY employees identifying as female – talk about sisters doing it for themselves!

No-one sums up being a B Corporation better than owner of EMILY and founder of Nurture Brands, Ben Arbib, “The certification proves that we never settle for anything less than the highest standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.” In this spirit, we are proud to share our assessment results with you.

We have been celebrating the certification with *a lot* of snacks, but our work here is just beginning… The EMILY team are excited to continue building on the foundations we have got and to keep championing the movement of businesses doing things in a better way.
