How to make a ‘Bloody Mary’ – EMILY style

Team EMILY are experts when it comes to socialising… Thirsty Thursday, Friyay Fizz, Saturday Soiree… there is always a good excuse for a tipple! Even a Sunday Bloody Mary for a weekend cure – yes please! Step aside celery, try our Bloody Mary recipe topped with delicious EMILY Garden Greens for that unique crunch!

🍅 First things first, dust the rim of a tall glass with a good pinch of sea salt and pepper. To do this you’ll need to mix the sea salt and pepper on a small plate, wet the rim of the glass and turn it upside down into the seasoning. Gently turn the glass to get a nice even coverage.

🍅 Turn the glass the right way up and fill with an abundance of ice cubes.

🍅 Add 120ml of tomato juice, 50ml vodka, 2-3 dashes of Tabasco, and 2 dashes vegan Worcestershire sauce and stir well.

🍅 To finish, garnish with half a pack of EMILY Garden Greens – don’t forget to spoon them out at the end!

… And whatever you do, don’t let the rest of the EMILY Garden Greens go to waste. Grab a bowl and get snacking whilst you drink!

For the non-alcoholic drinkers, we salute you, and we certainly haven’t forgotten about you. Swap out the vodka with this Virgin Bloody Mary…

🍅 Make your glass look 10/10 with the same salt and pepper treatment. Mix a good pinch of sea salt and pepper on a small plate, wet the rim of the glass, and turn it upside down into the seasoning. Gently turn the glass to get a nice even coverage.

🍅Take 2 spring onions and chop finely.

🍅 In a blender, mix 200ml of tomato juice or passata, the spring onions, lemon juice (1 lemon), ½ tsp vegan Worcestershire sauce, ½ tsp Tabasco sauce and ice cubes. Blend for two minutes, or until smooth.

🍅 Pour into the glass and garnish with EMILY Garden Greens – pure perfection!
